Message from Burin Peninsula Waste Management



Change in Waste Collection for Christmas Day

Due to the Boxing Day Holiday on Tuesday December 26, 2017, the Waste Collection Schedule for the remainder of the week will be pushed ahead by one day in the Southern Region (Red Harbour to Grand Bank). Waste Collection in the Northern Region (Rushoon to Monkstown) will not be affected by this Holiday. {This means that waste collection will take place in Marystown on Friday, December 29th.}

The landfill site will be closed from 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 23, 2017, and will re-open at 8:00 am on Wednesday, December 27, 2017.

Waste Collection for New Year’s Day

Household and Bulk Waste Collection will not be affected by the New Year’s Day Holiday and will resume its normal schedule on Tuesday, January 02, 2018.


The landfill site will be closing at 4:00 pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017 and will re-open at 8:00 am on Tuesday, January 02, 2018.
